With the way the Chivas USA season has gone, they'll take all the praise they can get. And in the latest Castrol Index ratings, they got plenty.
Erick Torres was one of the brightest stars in MLS this week, leading the top 20 with 1,439 points, more than 150 points in the clear of the No. 2 performer in Week 27, Robbie Keane of the LA Galaxy.
Speaking of the surging Galaxy, which blitzed their California Clasico counterpart San Jose Earthquakes to the tune of a 3-0 win, they had three players in the top 15 of this week's rankings, with goalkeeper Jaime Penedo and defender Leonardo finishing No. 9 (1,058 points) and No. 14 (820 points) respectively.
Supporters' Shield leading Real Salt Lake also had three players in the top 15 of the rankings, following their 4-2 triumph over the Portland Timbers.
