Robb Heineman's Reddit AMA: Gio dos Santos, Jermaine Jones, USMNT training facility, MLS expansion and blue grass | SIDELINE

Robb Heineman

Robb Heineman typically tells like it like it is, whether or not it's what you or anyone else wants to hear. The Sporting Club CEO has in the past used social media in ways to bring fans and supporters of his club closer to the "inside," from spilling transfer news on Twitter, to trash talking fellow team owners, to finding someone to stand with in the supporters section once the game kicks off.

Well, on Wednesday, Heineman opened up on social media like never before when he sat down for a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session that included just about everything going on with Sporting Kansas City, from season-ticket members unhappy about parking, to 8,000 seats worth of expansion to Sporting Park, to a field made up entirely of Sporting blue turf.

The following questions and answers were of particular note and merit a click or two:

Sporting Park expansion — by how muchwhere in the stadium and how big could Sporting Park become?

Financial incentives to win the CONCACAF Champions League? Not much, but Peter Vermes contract cares a lot.

On that note, how can the importance placed upon US Open Cup be raised? Money talks.

Sporting Club are building a USMNT training and coaching development center — timetable update please?

Jermaine Jones available on a free transfer next summer, surely you'd want him? Nope.

Signing a "world class" player — how close have you been? It almost happened once.

Start your own USL PRO team to develop young talent in the Midwest, Robb? Yeah, we'll do that.

MLS expansion — four East teams could force Sporting to go West. Thoughts?

Of all the perks of owning a pro sports team, what's the best part? The seats.

Robb, could you please choose a Golden Girl to jello wrestle? Of course he answered it.

Q: Where can I see the rest of the questions Heineman answered? A: Right here.
