Landon Donovan tells Fox Soccer Daily he's received offers from abroad, willing to consider in offseason

LA's Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez

Could we be witnessing the final months of Landon Donovan's MLS career?

At the very least, it appears the LA Galaxy will have competition for Donovan's signature come the offseason, after his current contract runs out.

In Monday's debut episode of Fox Soccer Daily, Donovan was asked what his plans were after this season. The US national team star appears to be willing to listen to offers abroad.

"We have received offers from teams in different countries that are intriguing," Donovan said in the interview. (See the entire segment above.)

He continues by hinting he may be ready for a new challenge abroad: "I'm really open in a way that I haven't been before. In the past, I was pretty content to stay in LA, but if it doesn't work out and we can't come to an agreement here, then I'm ready for a different challenge."

Lest you think he's made up his mind to leave MLS, Donovan is still planning on talking to the Galaxy as well.

"I'm still going to speak with the Galaxy and see how they value me and see where they want to go going forward," he said.
