Save of the Week

Save of the Week: Portland Timbers' Donovan Ricketts once again claims award in Week 22

Donovan Ricketts

Donovan Ricketts is just being downright selfish, or dominant.

Ricketts added to his league-best seven Save of the Week awards by grabbing the honors in Week 22 for his stop on Jordan Stewart in the Portland Timbers' 2-1 defeat to the San Jose Earthquakes this past Saturday. Ricketts denied Stewart on a powerful header at the back post following a corner kick, reacting quickly to push the ball over the crossbar.

The Jamaican international won almost 48 percent of the week's vote, leaving runner-up and Cascadia rival Andrew Weber of the Seattle Sounders in second with 30 percent.
