Jac Mac is headed to Kansas City after all.
MLS All-Star Head Coach Peter Vermes has selected Philadelphia Union forward Jack McInerney as a replacement for injured New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill for Wednesday’s 2013 AT&T MLS All-Star Game against AS Roma (9 pm ET, ESPN2, UniMas, TSN/RDS).
The fourth-year striker is currently in fourth place in the MLS Golden Boot race with 10 goals in 19 games for Philadelphia. The 20-year-old from Alpharetta, Ga., already has 22 career MLS goals, all with the Union, who selected him No. 7 overall in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft.
In the Red Bulls’ win 4-3 over Real Salt Lake on Saturday, Cahill sustained an injury that will prevent him from competing in the All-Star Game. No other information was available at press time.
