Typically, All-Star games in America and Cup finals across the world are reserved for the league or competition's top performing officials through the course of a season.

Grajeda has rerfereed 89 regular season games to date, starting in 2004.

Fischer, if you recall, was lauded by PRO earlier this season for a decision he made while serving as the center referee in a game between Sporting Kansas City and Houston Dynamo. Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis was at first judged by Fischer to have been taken down inside the box by Sporting midfielder Oriol Rosell.

Replays, and the vantage point of assistant referee Kevin Duliba, indicated that Rosell clearly won the ball and a penalty kick would have been the wrong decision. Fischer and Dubila conversed at length on the end line, and the call was correctly reversed.
