MLS Fantasy owners were expecting big things from Marco Di Vaio, but unfortunately it just wasn’t the Italian’s day. When it was all said and done, Montreal’s striker finished with zero points in 86 minutes played.

In all fairness, it was an off week for several players. There were only 13 goals and the top fantasy score was a mere 89 points; the lowest tally for both so far this season. The top forward scored just seven points and the top midfielder scored 10. The highest score went to Houston’s Jermaine Taylor (14 points).

Dream Team formation: (5-4-1)

Top Player: Jermaine Taylor – 14 points

Defenders (5)

The leading scorer in Round 20 was Houston’s Jermaine Taylor (14 points). Taylor recorded an assist and five bonus points to go along with a clean sheet. Teammates Warren Creavalle and Eric Brunner were among the top point-getters as well, notching nine points each. Since scores were so low at all positions, D.C. United’s Ethan White and New England's Stephen McCarthy made the DT by scoring just eight points. Four other defenders scored eight points or more.

Midfielders (4)

Lee Nguyen (10 points) tallied two assists against the San Jose Earthquakes in the first game of the round to lead all midfielders. Hector Jimenez, Marcelo Sarvas and Bernardo Añor scored a goal, ending the day with eight points apiece. See how the rest of the midfielders scored in Round 20.

Forwards (1)

The forward class really disappointed this round. Four players scored seven points, but Vancouver’s Kenny Miller got the DT call-up this time. Saer Sene, Federico Higuaín and Robbie Keaneeach tallied seven points as well.

Goalkeeper – Brad Knighton (11 points)

Knighton makes his second consecutive appearance of the MLS Fantasy Dream Team. Knighton had a clean sheet, seven saves and 19 recoveries in 90 minutes played. Only one other keeper scored double-digits and the answer might surprise you.

Congratulations to Dominic Corlett (THE MLS BEASTS) who finished Round 20 with 89 points. Dominic had two of the top scorers; Jermaine Taylor (14 points) and Lee Nguyen (10 points). New England Revolution striker, Saer Sene (7 points), was his captain.

*Dream Team subject to change. All point totals are finalized Wednesday for Rounds ending on Sunday.
