The newest Major League Soccer television series, MLS Insider, returns Friday night (7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network and 2 p.m. ET on TSN) with the second episode of its debut season.

The soccer culture-centric show, which debuted last Friday night on NBCSN, will profile FC Dallas goalkeeper Raúl Fernández and his most recent World Cup qualifying adventure with the Peru national team, as well as the Houston Dynamo's 2006 MLS Cup victory over the New England Revolution.

Fernández's Peru currently sit two places and two points out of CONMEBOL's fifth-place playoff spot with six games remaining in the qualification process for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The Dynamo won the 2006 MLS Cup in the first year of the club's history, the first of back-to-back league titles.

Directed by Jonathan Hock, MLS Insider "aims to immerse the viewer in very human stories – the good, the bad, the heroes, the villains – the whole range," according to the eight-time Emmy Award-winning visionary.

You can watch the first week's episode featuring Tim Cahill, Robbie Rogers and the Sons of Ben below.
