Castrol Index Weekly Top 20: Vancouver Whitecaps forward Camilo Sanvezzo tops the chart Week 17

It was a game to remember for Camilo Sanvezzo.

The Vancouver Whitecaps forward had a hand in all three goals last Wednesday against Chivas USA in a 3-1 win. The Brazilian scored two and assisted on the third, and his performance earned him not only MLS Player of the Week honors, but also the top slot in the Castrol Weekly Index.

Another forward, Conor Casey, ranked No. 2 for Week 17, bagging a brace of his own for Philadelphia against the New York Red Bulls in a 3-0 win on Sunday.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Portland Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, who remained at No. 3 for the second straight week following a shutout against the LA Galaxy midweek, Chicago Fire midfielder Dilly Duka (No. 4), who opened his scoring account with his new team Saturday against his former team, and LA Galaxy rookie forward Gyasi Zardes (No. 5), who scored the winning goal Sunday against Chivas USA, and racked up a whopping eight shots on the night.
