American Exports: Alejandro Bedoya continues his hot streak for Helsingborg in Sweden

Alejandro Bedoya with Helsingborg

ISTANBUL – Helsingborg playmaker Alejandro Bedoya continued his rampant form on Sunday, striking the 1-1 equalizer at Kalmar in Sweden.

Four minutes past intermission, the US international worked a magnificent give-and-go to breach the home side's area and bag his fifth goal of the young Allsvenskan season. Across all competitions this term, Bedoya is up to seven goals and five assists in 13 appearances.

The Reds regained the Allsvenskan's top spot, moving two points up with a game already in hand on second-place IFK Göteborg, who play Monday. Helsingborg are now unbeaten in nine and have yet to lose in six league road trips.

Meanwhile, next door in Norway, Steve Clark ably backstopped Hønefoss to a 1-1 draw with visiting Odd Grenland. The Michigan native made five saves, being beaten only by a penalty kick just past the hour.
