Everybody keeps waiting for the Colorado Rapids to slow down. But Atiba Harris decided that this week, he wouldn't let them.
The big attacker — who's filled in as a target forward, on the wing and even a bit in midfield — put down his "jack of all trades" mantle for a bit this past weekend and banged home two striker's goals in a 2-2 draw with FC Dallas. It was enough to push his team's unbeaten run to six, and it saw him to the top of the Castrol Index Weekly Top 20.
Three goalkeepers — Seattle's Michael Gspurning (No. 2), New England's Bobby Shuttleworth (No. 3) and Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando (No. 5) — and Vancouver defender Jordan Harvey (No. 4) rounded out the top five. The Revolution's Diego Fagundez, who sparked his team's 5-0 demolition of the LA Galaxy from his winger position, added a No. 7 finish to his MLS Player of the Week honors.
