The Montreal Impact are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the club this Saturday when they take on the Philadelphia Union at Stade Saputo. And they're doing it in exactly the way we all wish we could celebrate every birthday — with a giant, 16-foot by 8-foot chocolate cake.

Even cooler than that, the Impact opened things up to an online fan contest to design the decorative icing on top of the cake.

The Impact have a whole production of festivities lined up for Saturday's celebration, highlighted by the club's 2004 championship being honored. The Impact also launched a new history page on the the club's official website that goes into great detail in telling the story of the club's inaugural season of 1993. The history page is worth checking out, even if not for the stories, but the 1993 photos of some of the current Impact brass, including owner Joey Saputo (above).
