The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Sporting Kansas City midfielder Paulo Nagamura one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for violent conduct. With Chivas USA’s Edgar Mejía prone on the ground in the 52nd minute of their game on May 5, Nagamura demonstrated disregard for his opponent's safety by stepping on Mejía’s hand.
Nagamura will serve his suspension Wednesday when Sporting Kansas City host Seattle Sounders FC (8:30 pm ET, watch on MLS Live).
