AMSTERDAM – The Bundesliga season is over for Timothy Chandler after the FC Nürnberg right-sider suffered a right knee injury during weekend training.

The US international will need three to four weeks to recover from the ligament tear, putting his involvement in jeopardy when CONCACAF World Cup qualifying resumes at Jamaica on June 7.

Chandler, who notched a goal and three assists in 33 overall matches split between the midfield flank and right back, will miss the club's last two Bundesliga games against Fortuna Düsseldorf and Werder Bremen.

Despite four straight losses, 13th-place Nürnberg have already clinched survival.
