WATCH: Starting Lineup (Round 10 Preview)

Chivas USA

KEY INJURIES:

  • OUT – Juan Agudelo, Oswaldo Minda
  • QUESTIONABLE – José Correa, Miller Bolaños

PROJECTED LINEUP CHANGES: Bobby Burling and Edgar Mejía make their way back in the starting lineup for Steve Purdy and Carlos Borja.

Colorado Rapids

KEY INJURIES:

  • OUT – Marvell Wynne, Hendry Thomas
  • QUESTIONABLE – Edson Buddle, Deshorn Brown

PROJECTED LINEUP CHANGES: It’s unclear if Brown has gotten enough first-team reps this week to regain his spot back in the starting lineup. Stay tuned to @MLSFantasy more on this situation.

  • Pablo Mastroeni > Hendry Thomas

Columbus Crew

KEY INJURIES: Questionable – Agustín Viana

NOTES: Tony Tchani gets the nod in place of Viana who is still nursing a hamstring strain.

Houston Dynamo

SUPSENSIONS: Brad Davis (Red Card)

KEY INJURIES: Out - Warren Creavalle, Omar Cummings, Cam Weaver

PROJECTED LINEUP CHANGES:

  • Andrew Driver > Brad Davis

LA Galaxy

KEY INJURIES: Questionable – Robbie Keane, Todd Dunivant, Carlo Cudicini, Landon Donovan

PROJECTED LINEUP CHANGES: Landon Donovan has been a full participant in practice this week so expect him to be all systems go come game time. Keane and Dunivant were not full participants in practice this week and will likely be held out of the starting eleven as a result. Carlo Cudicini is likely going to play depending on he feels during pregame warm-ups.

Montreal Impact

KEY INJURIES: OUT – Alessandro Nesta, Davy Arnaud, Andrea Pisanu, Daniele Paponi

PROJECTED LINEUP CHANGES:

  • Sanna Nyassi > Davy Arnaud
  • Karl Ouimette > Alessandro Nesta

NOTES: Davy Arnaud left Montreal’s ACC game on Wednesday night in the 52nd minute due to a head injury. He’s likely going to miss the game against San Jose as a precaution. The Montreal midfield should look like this; Andrés Romero, Patrice Bernier, Felipe, Justin Mapp. With Arnaud out, Sanna Nyassi, who hasn’t seen much action since the middle April will likely get the start in his place.

New York Red Bulls

KEY INJURIES:

  • OUT – Dax McCarty
  • QUESTIONABLE – Péguy Luyindula

NOTES: Eric Alexander moved inside last week to fill in for the injured McCarty and Lloyd Sam took his place on the right flank. This could remain the same against the Columbus Crew this weekend because head coach Mike Petke is still unsure if he will use Juninho, who will be returning from a two-game suspension, as a starter or a second-half sub.

Philadelphia Union

KEY INJURIES: Questionable – Antoine Hoppenot

NOTES: Brian Carroll, Keon Daniel, Michael Farfan and Danny Cruz started in midfield for the Union last weekend, but this could change due a poor outing at the attacking end. Sébastien Le Toux subbed on for Conor Casey, but it’s highly unlikely he’ll get more minutes unless he moves back into the midfield.

Real Salt Lake

KEY INJURIES:

  • OUT – ÁlvaroSaborío
  • QUESTIONABLE – Chris Wingert, Olmes García, Robbie Findley

NOTES: Saborío is expected to miss some time with a quad tear so look for Joao Plata to find his way back in the starting lineup once again. Devon Sandoval could get the nod up top as well with both García and Robbie Findley nursing mild injuries. If head coach Jason Kreis thought the pairing of Plata and Sandoval lacked something last week, he might choose to pair Sandoval with García instead, assuming, of course, he’s ready come kickoff.

San Jose Earthquakes

SUPSENSIONS: Alan Gordon, Steven Lenhart (Disciplinary Committee action)

PROJECTED LINEUP CHANGES:

  • Adam Jahn > Steven Lenhart

NOTES: Head coach Frank Yallop decided to go with a speedy lineup against Chivas USA and it worked, to some degree. Marvin Chávez is fully recovered and should be fit to start, barring any setbacks of course. Shea Salinas will occupy the left and Chávez will be on the right.

Seattle Sounders

KEY INJURIES: Questionable – Obafemi Martins, Steve Zakuani, Shalrie Joseph, Marc Burch

NOTES: We may finally get to see Eddie Johnson back in the starting lineup for the first time in weeks. With the guys above all nursing injuries, it’s very likely we’ll see Brad Evans and Lamar Neagle in the starting eleven come kickoff.

Sporting KC

KEY INJURIES: Questionable – Chance Myers

NOTES: Awaiting confirmation on the extent of Myers injury, but if Sporting KC lists him on the injury report it usually isn’t a good sign. Mechack Jêrome would get the start in his place if he can’t go. Stay tuned to @MLSFantasy for further updates.

Toronto FC

KEY INJURIES:

  • OUT – Richard Eckersley, Terry Dunfield, Darel Russell
  • QUESTIONABLE Darel Russell, Logan Emory

NOTES: It looks like rookie defender Ryan Richter will start for the third straight week at right back. New Designated Player Matías Laba will likely make his debut at some point.

Vancouver Whitecaps

KEY INJURIES:

  • OUT – Kenny Miller

NOTES: Head coach Martin Rennie seems to have moved backed to his original core, except for Miller. Look for Daigo Kobayashi, Gershon Koffie and Camilo to get the call this week along Nigel Reo-Coker and Russell Teibert.
