The scoreboard in the south end of Crew Stadium is fully functioning and will be ready for use when the Columbus Crew host the New York Red Bulls this Saturday, the club announced Wednesday.
Local fire officials determined on Monday that last weekend's fire ahead of the Crew-D.C. United match was caused by an electrical issue but said Wednesday that the scoreboard and videoboard are functioning normally, and expect it to run normally for Saturday's match (4 pm ET, NBC Sports Network).

In addition, Crew Stadium has rented out a line array speaker system for the next two matches – Saturday and May 11 vs. the Colorado Rapids.The speakers will hang from the stage, identically to how they hang during concerts held at the stadium. No seats will be affected by the speaker setup.
Prior to Columbus' 3-0 win over D.C. last Saturday, the stadium's scoreboard caught on fire. Fire crews had the blaze under control shortly after and gave the all clear for play around 8:30 pm. The kickoff for the match was delayed about 50 minutes.
The Crew are in talks with a number of audio companies to find a long-term solution.
