Maybe he's finally won a spot in the starting lineup now?
That seems to be the case for the Vancouver Whitecaps' irrepressible Brazilian attacker, Camilo Sanvezzo. Not only was he the star of the show midweek in Vancouver's 3-2 Amway Canadian Championship win over FC Edmonton, but he followed that up with 90 strong minutes and a goal in league action against FC Dallas to go to the top of the Castrol Index Weekly Top 20.
New England Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth took up what's now his customary spot in the top 5, pulling in at No. 2 after his team's 2-0 whitewash of the Philadelphia Union. Shuttleworth, who like Camilo has been in a fight for playing time, seems to have won the No. 1 designation outright.
Goalkeeper Troy Perkins put in yet another strong outing for the Montreal Impact in a 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire, and came in at No. 3 for his efforts, while MLS Player of the Week Tim Cahill of the New York Red Bulls came in at No. 4 thanks to his pair of goals at Toronto FC in a 2-1 win.
Sporting KC defender Chance Myers, who had gone 95 games without scoring, picked up the first two goals of his career at the weekend against the Portland Timbers in a 3-2 loss, good enough for the No. 5 spot.
