Round 7 of MLS Fantasy Soccer: Manager got off to a rocky start. Then all of a sudden, the scoring began when Olmes Garcia found the upper right corner of the net on a world-class strike to give Real Salt Lake a 1-0 lead over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Only 14 goals were scored this weekend, but with the number of penalties handed out, nobody could’ve expected so many clean sheets. Six of the 11 players on the Round 7 Dream Team scored double-digit points. Here’s the breakdown:

Dream Team formation: (5-4-1)

Top Player: Jámison Olave – 15 points

Defenders (5)

George John ($5.8m) took a beer bottle to the head after he scored the game-winner for FC Dallas in the 87th minute on Saturday. Olave ($5.9m) netted his third goal of the season while Markus Holgersson ($4.7m), Michel ($5.5m) and Jhon Kennedy Hurtado ($4.7) all tallied clean sheets and at least three bonus points in their outings. This was the second Dream Team appearance for everyone except Hurtado.

Note: Jump on those New York defenders early in the week before their prices go up. Olave is already up $0.2m from Sunday.

Midfielders (4)

This is the second Dream Team appearance for all four of these midfielders. Brad Davis ($9.0m) led the group with 14 points on a goal, an assist and multiple bonus-point tallies. He’s currently averaging 7.8 points/game, tied for third-best in FS:M behind only Graham Zusi ($9.8) and Mike Magee ($8.9) after a minimum of three games played. Will Johnson ($7.4m) netted his third goal of 2013 while Dax McCarty ($8.4m) and Brandon Barklage ($5.9m) logged assists and multiple bonus points in their matches.

Note: Javier Morales ($8.2m) played the full 90 minutes for the first time this season. He had eight points on an assist and multiple bonus points in his match against the Whitecaps.

Forwards (1)

He’s back! Thierry Henry ($10.4m) made it through an entire 90 minutes, and barring any setbacks this week should be primed and ready to go for the double-game week in Round 8.

Note: Henry and Claudio Bieler ($9.2m) will likely be the two most Transferred In forwards in Round 8.

Goalkeeper – Raúl Fernández (13)

This round wasn’t even close. Fernández ($5.5m) had a monster game, making a huge stop on a Landon Donovan penalty kick, which earned him a clean sheet and his second Dream Team appearance on the season.

Congratulations to Blake Plonske (The High Rollers) who put up an astonishing 110 points in Round 8. Blake captained Davis, but he also had goals from John, Olave, Robert Earnshaw and Deshorn Brown.

*Dream Team subject to change. All point totals are finalized Wednesday for Rounds ending on Sunday.
