International Roundup: Ricketts, Fernandez in nets for World Cup qualifiers

Donovan Ricketts with Jamaica

As usual, the bulk of MLS players on international duty plied their trade in CONCACAF over the weekend international matchday.

The USA and Costa Rica both had MLS representatives on the field in the frozen 1-0 US win in Colorado, while Honduras snuck away with a home point against Mexico thanks to a goal from the New England Revolution's Jerry Bengtson.

Portland Timbers goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts backstopped Jamaica to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Panama. Houston Dynamo defender Jermaine Taylor also went 90 minutes for the Reggae Boyz, while FC Dallas forward Blas Pérez picked up the assist on the Panamanian equalizer.
