Goal of the Week update: Daigo Kobayashi, Hassoun Camara neck and neck

MLS Goal of the Week 2013

MLS Goal of the Week: Week 2

Voting for the season's second Goal of the Week award is shaping for a photo finish between two Canadian contenders.

Vancouver's Daigo Kobayashi and Montreal's Hassoun Camara are currently dead even and comfortably ahead of their competition thus far, as voters show equal appreciation for Kobayashi's long-distance missile in the Whitecaps' 2-1 win over Columbus and Camara's opportunistic overhead kick at Portland.

San Jose rookie Adam Jahn and his lunging far-post finish from Sunday sit in distant third. Jamie Smith's lovely curler in Colorado's home opener and Juan Agudelo's expertly taken equalizer in Chivas USA's comeback win over FC Dallas are bringing up the rear at present.

This race is tighter than a torn hamstring, with only a handful of votes separating the two strikes, so every ballot counts down the final stretch. Make your pick in the poll at right, or via text message.

1. Hassoun Camara (MTL) 39%

2. Daigo Kobayashi (VAN) 39%

3. Adam Jahn (SJ) 12%

4. Juan Agudelo (CHV) 5%

5. Jamie Smith (COL) 5%
