Carlos Ruiz has returned in Major League Soccer, and there were plenty of teams who wanted him back.
Ruiz revealed that and a whole lot more when he joined the guys on MLSsoccer.com’s ExtraTime Radio on Thursday, and explained why he chose D.C. United over a number of other clubs who were courting him.
“The truth is, I really want to win another MLS Cup,” Ruiz said. “And the only team I can see to make that possible is D.C. United. They made the playoffs and made a couple mistakes against Houston, but I’m pretty sure in that game, if D.C. had won that game, for sure D.C. would have had a lot chances against the LA Galaxy in the championship.”
