There’s no hangover in sight for the LA Galaxy. Not this season.
Galaxy hat trick hero Mike Magee joined the crew on MLSsoccer.com’s ExtraTime Radio on Monday and said that the team has been more focused this year on avoiding a slow start to the season the way they did in 2012.
“We were cruising,” Magee said of the team’s 4-0 win over the Chicago Fire on Sunday. “But the biggest thing, from the day we came into preseason, was not replicating what we did last year, which was start the season a bit hungover, and it lasted that way for a couple of months.
“We were so focused on that all preseason, surely we weren’t going to have a letdown in the first game.”
