In addition to the club's new jersey front sponsor for 2013, Ivy Funds, the new shirt features a two-tone stripe on the front representing the Kansas/Missouri state line.

"With the club it's all about that state line and the connection," said adidas product manager Mike Walker. "On their inaugural jersey we had an embroidery line that kind of represented that and this time we've gone a little bit bolder with it and we have a color block. One side is dark blue and the other is the light blue of the club.

"Kansas City is in two states, but it's really one city and one team," Walker continued. "So it's making that connection and calling it out in a big way."

One final detail: You'll also notice two Sporting logos on the first kit. There's the Sporting KC shield on the front and the "Sporting Club" logo on the back.
