In Championship league play, Stuart Holden worked his longest competitive shift since September of 2011 in Bolton's 1-0 victory over guests Peterborough.

The former Houston Dynamo ace entered in the 24th minute as an injury sub for Mark Davies, taking up the right side of midfield. Holden helped Wanderers post their third straight win at the Reebok, which also boosted them four rungs to 10th place.

Meanwhile, Zak Whitbread went unused as Leicester City topped Blackburn 3-0. Thanks to their first win in February, the fifth-place Foxes pulled to within five points of the second automatic promotion elevator with a game in hand.
