The Houston Dynamo announced Friday that they have ended their jersey sponsorship agreement with Greenstar Recycling due to the company's sale.

The Dynamo and Greenstar reached a three-year agreement in December 2010, meaning the partnership between the two will end 11 months prematurely, though on amicable terms.

“We are sorry to see the relationship end, but happy to have found terms that are beneficial to both parties and cover the Dynamo’s financial position,” Dynamo president Chris Canetti said in a statement released by the club. “We had a successful partnership and I am happy that we played a key role in Greenstar’s growth and ultimate sale.”

The Dynamo are in the process of finding a company to replace Greenstar's name on the team jersey and have opened discussions with a few global companies.

“We believe there is great value in this sponsorship opportunity and are looking forward to finding a new corporate sponsor for our jersey-front,” added Canetti. “The process is in the early stages, but we are confident that we will find an excellent partner.”
