The Vancouver Whitecaps made some waves of their own on Saturday, trading up with Toronto FC to secure the fourth overall pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, with which they picked 18-year-old Gambian starlet Kekuta Manneh.

The 'Caps sent their No. 10 selection and allocation money to Toronto for the No. 4 pick. Martin Rennie's side also held the No. 5 selection in the draft, with which they selected Santa Clara wide man Erik Hurtado.

Manneh, a Generation adidas player, wowed scouts at the combine with his speed and skill, but at just 18 years of age is very much a project for the Whitecaps coaching staff, while Hurtado is more ready to contribute from the get-go.
