AMSTERDAM – Jozy Altidore bagged a quickfire second-half double as AZ Alkmaar advanced to the KNVB Cup last 16 with a 4-1 win at amateur side SWZ Boso Sneek on Thursday.
The US striker hit the Cheese Farmers' third by poking home from a scramble in the 53rd minute and then closed the scoring with a simple back-post finish precisely on the hour mark. The brace took Altidore's total across all competition to 11 for the term.

Over in Denmark's DBU-Pokalen, Conor O'Brien and SønderjyskE bowed out with a 3-0 loss to round-of-16 guests FC Copenhagen.
Shortly after the midfielder saw yellow in the 29th minute, his bid to open the scoring was expertly blocked by a defender. In the end, SønderjyskE saw their three-game unbeaten run against the Lions abruptly halted.
