Report: Klinsmann to adjust USMNT's January camp

Despite an AP report on Thursday that he was considering scrapping the January training camp, US national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann says the camp is going to happen, according to ESPN's Alexi Lalas on Twitter.

Traditionally, the January camp held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., has been an opportunity for US managers to assess unproven players at the international level and work younger players into the mix. But Lalas also revealed that Klinsmann has plans to change the camp somewhat, bringing in fewer players and focusing on preparing for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers scheduled for February
