Goal of the Matchday

Saborio's chip voted AT&T GotW as RSL make it 2 straight

Alvario Saborio, Will Johnson and Javier Morales celebrate

Make it two in a row for Real Salt Lake in AT&T Goal of the Week voting. A week after Javier Morales' pinpoint free kick took home the honors, Álvaro Saborío's precise chip over Chivas USA's Dan Kennedy ran away with the award in Week 30.

Saborío easily outpaced New York's Thierry Henry, who also managed to catch the goalkeeper off his line, earning 42 percent of the vote after he collected the ball, swiveled and lobbed a shot off the crossbar and in to complete his hat trick in style against the overmatched Goats. LA's Marcelo Sarvas finished third for his pile driver off a Robbie Keane lay-off, and Ryan Johnson perhaps didn't get the recognition he deserved after finding the top corner from fully 30 yards against the Red Bulls.

Saborío is the fourth RSL player to win the award this season, and joins teammate Nick Rimando (Save of the Week) as MLS honorees this week.
