Eddie Johnson ran away with last week's award, but voting is much tighter this time around
Still, Real Salt Lake's Javier Morales holds a 10-percent lead at the top, just reward for his beautiful free kick against the Portland Timbers. Just behind him, and hoping for a boost from fans in LA, is Juninho, who just keeps banging in highlight-reel goals for the playoff-bound Galaxy. Danny Mwanga, Simon Dawkins and Robbie Keane follow a fair distance back, but anything can happen with a day of voting remaining.
The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and via text and is announced on Fridays. Here's how the voting stands as of Thursday morning:
