Roundup: Hondurans again lead way in WCup qualifying

Jerry Bengtson with Honduras

Canadian and US fans swapped moods from Friday, but as usual that was just the tip of the iceberg for MLSers in international action.

As usual, it was Honduras who fielded the largest (and most successful) MLS contingent, led by New England striker Jerry Bengtson. The Revs hitman had the winner as the losCatrachos took a 1-0 home win from bunkering Cuba. Four other MLS players started for Honduras, while Seattle's Mario Martínez came in for the last 35 minutes after replacing San Jose's Marvin Chávez.

The other big MLS star of the day was veteran striker Kenny Miller, who had the lone Scotland goal in their 1-1 draw vs. Macedonia. The Vancouver Designated Player worked a solid 58-minute shift.
