American Exports preview: New era starts for Tottenham

Brad Friedel screams in game against Sunderland

AMSTERDAM – With transfer deadlines and UEFA draws out of the way, the weekend is clear for another heavy schedule involving American exports to land. All times listed in ET.

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE
Tottenham vs. Norwich City (Saturday, 10 am on Fox Soccer)

American: Brad Friedel, Clint Dempsey (Spurs) - The netminder and mates are looking to break the season's duck against a Canaries side with two wins and a draw from their last four White Hart Lane visits.

The hosts aren’t likely to hand could hand a debut to the newly signed Dempsey, but his former teammate, Moussa Dembélé, could make his bows. Tottenham will go without spine members Younes Kaboul and Scott Parker.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Everton (Saturday, 10 am on Fox Soccer Plus)

American: Tim Howard (EVE) - The US star will try to backstop the Toffees to their first 100 percent start through three games since 1993. Howard will take the line on a three-game win streak and is also unbeaten in 11 league matches.

What's more, the American has won two of three career games at the Hawthorns and currently holds a 260-minute EPL shutout spell over the Baggies. He should be able to count on the fitness of skipper Phil Neville for this one.

GERMAN BUNDESLIGA
Wolfsburg vs. Hannover 96 (Sunday, 9:30 am on GolTV)

American: Steve Cherundolo (H96) - With Europa League business done for now, the Reds skipper will now lead his troops headlong into the Wolves den for an away derby.

Hannover have dropped five straight and nine of 10 at the Volkswagen, including a 4-1 whooping last season. The visitors will arrive without striker Mame Biram Diouf.

PSV Eindhoven vs. AZ Alkmaar (Sunday, 8:30 am on ESPN3.com)
