All-Star: Which goalkeeper will get your vote?

ASG: Goalkeepers

Someone has to man the net against Chelsea, and you’ve got the power to decide who’s going to do it.

MLS released the list of players eligible for fan voting for the 2012 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Thursday, and one goalkeeper from each MLS club has been named to the list. But who gets your vote?

Will it be the Houston Dynamo’s Tally Hall, who earned his first career All-Star nod last year against Manchester United? How about Real Salt Lake’s Nick Rimando, who earned a call-up to the US national team last month thanks to another stellar season for first-place RSL?

And don’t forget guys like Sporting KC’s Jimmy Nielsen, Colorado’s Matt Pickens, San Jose’s Jon Busch or Montreal’s Donovan Ricketts, all of which have been steady in net this season for their clubs, and are more than deserving of your vote.

Whoever you choose, don’t forget that All-Star voting opens on Friday, June 8 at noon ET on MLSsoccer.com. Fans can also vote by sending a player’s first and last name via text message to 22442. Twitter voting will occur later this month.

The players with the highest combined votes from these three voting methods will become the first 11 All-Stars – known as the All-Star First XI. The player who receives the most text votes by 5 pm ET on Monday, July 2, will automatically earn a spot among the All-Star First XI.
