The accolades keep on coming.
D.C. United's Dwayne De Rosario took home another honor on Thursday as he was named MLS Player of the Month for May, as voted on by the North American Soccer Reporters. In addition to producing four goals and three assists, De Rosario led United to four wins during a grueling six-game MLS schedule.
In another month defined by a neck-and-neck race, DeRo edged out San Jose's Alan Gordon, who had three goals in May, including a stoppage-time winner against LA that sealed the Earthquakes' comeback.
Others receiving first-place votes were Columbus' Andy Gruenebaum, Seattle's Fredy Montero and New York's Ryan Meara and Kenny Cooper.
