GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Striker Adrian Ruelas is looking for a new place to call home after Santos Laguna officially put him up for transfer on Wednesday.
The recently-crowned Mexican champions released an 11-man list of players they are looking to offload ahead of the Mexican Primera División draft on June 6.
The Fontana, Calif. native Ruelas joined Santos´ youth system back in 2008, working his way up to his first team debut in March 2011. He also went on a short-term loan to Glasgow Celtic at the back end of 2010, but didn´t feature in the first team.
Ruelas was loaned out to Jaguares for the Apertura 2011, but struggled to find first team minutes as he played for the Under-20s and trained with the seniors.
The 21-year-old striker has played for the United States Under-20 team, starring during their 2010 Milk Cup title run.
In total, Ruelas has scored 25 goals at the U-20 level in Mexico in 62 appearances for both Santos Laguna and Jaguares.
