Could the fourth time be the charm for the LA Galaxy?

The defending MLS Cup champions will have their fourth crack at the recently crowned La Liga champs Real Madrid when they host the galacticos in a World Football Challenge match on Thurs., Aug. 2 (10:30 pm ET) at The Home Depot Center.

The HDC was the stage for their first-ever meeting back in 2005 when current Galaxy star David Beckham wore Real Madrid's colors in a 2-0 win for the Spanish giants.

The two clubs have also played at the Rose Bowl in 2010 (Real Madrid won 3-2) and at the LA Coliseum last summer (Real Madrid won 4-1) in Southern California.

With one match remaining in league play, Real Madrid enjoy an insurmountable seven-point lead on rivals FC Barcelona, ensuring them their 32nd La Liga title. They also advanced to the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, where they went out on penalty kicks to Bayern Munich.

The WFC match will come between two difficult regular-season road contests for the Galaxy against Western Conference rivals FC Dallas (July 28) and Seattle Sounders (Aug. 5).

Complete ticket information will be released at a later date, but fans can assure themselves of a spot at the event by getting their hands on Galaxy season tickets.
