Real Salt Lake got the best of Colorado again, and to the victors go the spoils.
RSL striker Álvaro Saborío took the top honor for the AT&T Goal of the Week for his tidy finish in a 2-0 win over Rapids last Saturday, easily outpacing some tough competition from two of the best finishers in the league.
Saborío’s goal – a right-footed finish inside the box after he chested down a cross from defender Tony Beltran in the 20th minute – earned 33 percent of the vote, more than enough top Thierry Henry’s pitch-perfect volley against the Columbus Crew and a nifty finish from San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski in a win over Vancouver.
