Ever get frustrated over players on your fantasy team whom you believe should be producing significant points for your Fantasy Soccer: Manager squad, but just don’t?
This week, we take a look at players who could be ready to breakout in the upcoming weeks.
Hamdi Salihi (above) — D.C. United’s Designated Player hasn’t recorded a goal or assist so far this season. But the Albanian international has a track record in Europe, and United have four of their next five games at home.
Danny Koevermans (right) — The TFC striker, who scored eight goals last season, should have plenty of opportunities in his next three matches against three league strugglers, Montreal Impact, Chivas USA and the Chicago Fire.
Marco Pappa — The Guatemalan international scored 8 goals and tallied two assists last season. With just one assist so far this season — an impressive cross for a winner — Pappa has a striking teammate, Dominic Oduro, who has the ability to score in bunches when provided with service.
Chad Marshall — Known for joining the Crew’s attack on set pieces, the two-time MLS Defender of the Year will face off against three offensively challenged clubs in the upcoming rounds (Philadelphia Union, Houston Dynamo, Vancouver Whitecaps). He should pick up some shutout points here.
Jamison Olave — In his four seasons in the MLS, the former Deportivo Cali defender has scored at least two goals each season. With six games in the next four rounds, a goal from the 2010 MLS Defender of the Year is near.
Milos Kocic — In his next three games, TFC’s Serbian goalkeeper will defend against three sides that have scored a combined six goals in 12 matches (Montreal Impact, Chivas USA, Chicago Fire). If TFC’s backline can come together after the failure in Mexico, they’ll have no trouble earning shutouts in the upcoming matches.
