For a 21-year-old who experienced the taste of immediate stardom last year, accompanied by national team call-ups, overseas offers and TV spots, Bunbury had to work through the toughest stretch of his pro career. A shoo-in starter to start 2011, he was benched and saw only three starts during a stretch of 12 league games. But he has since emerged to regain his spot among Sporting’s regulars, giving off the distinct impression that his best is yet to come. </p><p><strong>What the TDs and coaches say:</strong> “Great talent and with big upside … Strong, athletic player. Technically very adequate … Has all the physical tools to be one of the best players … Finishing is good and he has lots of self-belief … Positionally a little naïve … Has to work on his consistency from game to game and show the same work ethic. That comes with maturity as a player … He has to take care of is his temperament.
