Turns out C.J. Sapong may have been the find of the draft and a surefire candidate for the Rookie of the Year award. His strength and athleticism have made him an absolute handful for opposing teams and his uncanny calm has allowed him to be fairly consistent for a first-year pro. With a few more goals, it won’t be long before the cries for a national team call-up start coming his way.</p><p><strong>What the TDs and coaches say:</strong> “Really good rookie year … Athletic, powerful and goes non-stop … Can he do that for 90? If he can do that you have a great player … He’s electric and he’s difficult to play against, which is a great trait … He’s benefited in KC with the amount of service they’ve gotten to him by playing as one of three forwards.
