On Monday, Italian powerhouse Juventus released a 27-man roster that will participate in the Herbalife World Football Challenge.
Those same 27 men — which features a bevy of World Cup winners and Italian national-teamers — are set to take on Mexican giants Club América on July 26, and fans can take advantage of an incredible deal from Google Offers to watch the two sides wage battle live at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y.
Google Offers, which launched just last week in New York City, announced a deal on Tuesday for two sideline tickets for $40 — a savings of $120. The offer goes live on Wednesday morning at www.google.com/offers.
Juventus' traveling roster features a bevy of names from Italy’s 2006 World Cup-winning squad, including strikers Alessandro Del Piero, Luca Toni, newly acquired midfielder Andrea Pirlo, defender Andrea Barzagli and star goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
Manager Antonio Conte, in his first season at the helm of his former club, will count on a variety of current Italian national-team regulars such as Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Claudio Marchisio, Simone Pepe, Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri, along with new Juventus signings Reto Ziegler, Stefan Lichtsteiner and Michele Pazienza.
Mexico City’s Club América, meanwhile, boasts internationals Christian Benítez, Aquivaldo Mosquera, Óscar Rojas, Matías Vuoso and Juan Carlos Medina, as well as Argentine striker Daniel Montenegro. The team is under the direction of América legend Carlos Reinoso.
