American Exports: Miller, Halmstads drop another one

AMSTERDAM — Ryan Miller and cellar-dwellers Halmstads BK had another rough night on Monday, falling hard 4-0 at AIK in Swedish Allsvenskan play.

Typically a right back, the Chicago-area native did more cover work in the middle, this time holding down the left center-back slot.

The return in a home-and-home doubleheader was ruled by former Cleveland City Stars striker Teteh Bangura, the same man who decided last Sunday's AIK road win. The young Sierra Leone international, who broke open a tie game with a pair of second-half goals the prior weekend, bagged all four of his side's markers on Monday evening.

The result gave HBK four straight losses by a combined 12-3 margin. Miller & Co. are now winless in seven league games and remain seven points adrift of the nearest competitor.
