American Exports: Clark breaks cheekbone, out four weeks

Ricardo Clark, MF

AMSTERDAM – Eintracht Frankfurt handyman Ricardo Clark is set to miss about four weeks after suffering a broken left cheekbone during Friday's practice session, MLSsoccer.com has learned.

The US midfielder, who had started three straight games in central defense for the injury-hit Eagles, will undergo surgery in Frankfurt on Monday.

"[Clark] had an accident today in training," an Eintracht spokesman told MLSsoccer.com. "He will be in the hospital for two weeks. He won't be able to play for three or four weeks."

The 27-year old Georgia native has worked six Bundesliga contests this season, and 10 games across all competitions since arriving from the Houston Dynamo last winter.
