The Colorado Rapids' penalty shootout victory over the Columbus Crew in on Saturday afternoon has completed the matchup for the Eastern Conference Championship.
The Rapids will host the San Jose Earthquakes, who defeated the New York Red Bulls, 3-2 on aggregate, following a 3-1 win on Thursday night. The match will be played at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, November 13 at 9:30 pm ET, and will be broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Deportes.
The Rapids and Quakes are both surprises to reach the semifinal stage of the MLS Cup Playoffs. This year marks Colorado's first postseason appearance since 2006, while San Jose are in the playoffs for the first time since the club reformed in 2008.
