Wizards-Galaxy moved to Arrowhead Stadium

Kansas City Wizards announced Thursday that their match against the Los Angeles Galaxy Sept. 13 has changed venues from CommunityAmerica Ballpark to Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff time has also changed and will now be 4 p.m. CT. Free tickets are available immediately to those who purchase a special ticket package that includes games in both the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

"Our goal is to provide the best opportunities for our season ticket holders with everything that we do. That includes making sure they have the best seats available for this match. This ticket package provides a unique opportunity for new customers to acquire some of the best seats available for the September 13th match against the Los Angeles Galaxy and David Beckham at Arrowhead Stadium," Wizards Vice President of Ticket Sales Shayne Donohue said. "This package works for corporations as well as individuals and includes games in both the 2008 and 2009 seasons. As fans know, September 13th is scheduled to be David Beckham's first-ever appearance in Kansas City."

The "2008-2009 Season Ticket Package" includes tickets to three games in 2008 and a deposit on season tickets for the 2009 season. The first 500 who purchase this package will receive complimentary lower-bowl tickets to the Los Angeles Galaxy match. Individual tickets to the game will go on sale in mid-August.
