KANSAS CITY, MO - The Kansas City Wizards announced the appointment of Rob Thomson to the position of the club's Director of Marketing and Communications. Thomson returns to the Wizards in the newly created role having served most recently as the Director of Communications for the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League.

"Working with the Wizards for five seasons was a tremendous experience and there was always a bit of doubt and regret when I left," said Thomson. "Now coming back, I feel like I have gained a different prospective of sports and entertainment and I am chomping at the bit to start again. The future is unbelievably bright for this organization and for all of soccer in this area."

Thomson assumed the new role on Monday, October 2nd, having previously worked for the organization from 1997 to 2001 as the club's Public Relations Manager.
