Wizards 3, Crew 1 -- quote sheet

'be in charge' -- sums it up, and we were in charge pretty well on both sides of the ball."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS FORWARD DAVY ARNAUD

On scoring the Wizards' first goal of the season:
"It was a good feeling getting that first goal, but I think more importantly it was getting those two goals in the first half and realizing our chances that we created. I think that we are going to create a lot of chances this year and to get those first two goals in the first half was great and to then to get the third in the second half was even better."

On playing alongside so many weapons:
"When you have myself and Scotty [Sealy], and Eddie [Johnson] and Josh [Wolff], I think teams are going to have to deal with a lot with us going forward. I think it is going to open up space for us individually."

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On the game:
"I thought we created some chances. As in all soccer games the team that does a better job finishing their chances is going to win and they finished theirs. I was happy with our ability to create chances off the ball. We got some young players bloodied in a sense that it is Kei Kamara's first time out there and Brandon Moss's first time out there and it is going to take a little bit for them to get their confidence up and feel good about themselves. But I didn't think we were two goals worse. I thought the first 15 minutes of the second half we owned and then we give up the third goal and that takes the wind out of the sails so to speak. The adjustments were just guys needed to work a little harder.

COLUMBUS CREW FORWARD KEI KAMARA

On the game:
"We had a couple combinations for two players who haven't played together very much. He's (Eddie Gaven) a great player. He saw me making the diagonal run and he played me a great ball and I just had to finish. The second half was a lot better. We went forward a little more. We just have to finish our chances when we get them or they will come back and haunt us. I can always get better. You can't be content with your performance. You can always finish more chances and play a little harder. We are going to go back home and work harder and get ready for the next game."
