KANSAS CITY WIZARDS 1, TORONTO FC 1

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH CURT ONALFO

On creating numerous scoring chances:
"It was a performance where we created a number of scoring chances. Sometimes I thought we were trying a little too hard. It was one of those days where we kept plugging away and playing away. I think it is just about being sharp in front of the goal. It just didn't go our way in front of the net. We had some guys who were just killing the ball. Maybe we need to place the ball in the corner and sometimes lay it off. You can't fault the guys effort. At least we were creating chances. I would be worried if we weren't getting any."

On the state of the team:
"I am very pleased about with where we are as a team. Physically we are in very good shape. We wanted to get off to a good start, which we did. Most teams go through a hard stretch, and I think we are going through one right now. I don't think you can fault our performance in those games. It will never be easy; it is very much a grind. But it is a long season and I think we will be just fine."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS MIDFIELDER MICHEAL HARRINGTON

On the Wizards fitness:
"I think we are one of the fittest teams in the league, if not the fittest. So I think that gives us an advantage in the heat. We played against Houston when it was over 100 degrees and we were pushing the game the whole time."

On state of the team:
"I think we are right on track as far as our preseason goals go. We are tied for second in the league. We just have to be better in front of goal and that will help us get the results. It is good to know that we are creating the chances and taking the game to the other team."

On being second in scoring among rookies:
"I think it is going well. I am just glad that I am out there trying to help the team win a championship. Fortunately, things are going well for me right now, which is a bonus I think. I will just try to keep doing that stuff to help the team."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS GOALKEEPER KEVIN HARTMAN

On winless stretch:
"We have been playing good soccer, but the results just haven't been going our way. We need to stay focused in order to keep this from becoming a bad stretch. I hope we didn't think that this was going to be easy. We are 6-4-3, which is by no means the worst record in the league. We are playing great soccer, but unfortunately we haven't put the ball in the back of the net as much as we needed. We have to take a long-term view of this team and not get bogged down on tonight. At the end of the day we got a point and we will have a chance to get three on Wednesday in front of our home fans."

TORONTO FC HEAD COACH MO JOHNSTON

On the game:
"I thought both teams created a lot of chances. I think that we had the clearer of chances in front of goal. They had some things from out wide. They got some headers and we were blocking some other things. They are a very good team, and we played 20 minutes with 10 men."

On Boyens' red card:
"You know you can't say too much without getting sanctioned. I don't feel that the first one was a yellow card. It was his first tackle of the game. The second tackle was just silly."

On being winless on the road:
"Honestly we are making progress. The young goalkeeper (Sam Reynolds) was playing great. We are waiting for some players to come back. There are still improvements to be made though. You can see we don't look like a makeup team. We can open teams up when we want. But it is all about getting the monkey off our backs and getting three points. Hopefully we will do that Wednesday."

TORONTO FC GOALKEEPER SAM REYNOLDS

On his league debut:
"First of all, I would like to thank Mo Johnston and the rest of the staff for giving me the chance to play for a squad who has such a bright future. That means the world to me. It was my first start in the league and I want to thank all the guys that supported me today."

TORONTO FC STRIKER DANNY DICHIO

On the game:
"We knew it was going to be a hard game coming to Kansas City. We wanted to get a goal in the first half, but we didn't get one. We dug in though and got one right after halftime. We don't want to put any added pressure on us, but we know that we have to dig in as a team and stay strong. It will come eventually. We have two draws in our last three on the road; that can be a stepping stone for us."
