Wizards 1, Revolution 1 -- quote sheet

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS 1, NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION 1

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH BRIAN BLISS

On the tie:
"It was at least a point. We were lucky to get one [point]. We were sitting there at one point [in the game] thinking that we were going to get three, and then we felt lucky to have one. They ran over us in the last 30 minutes of the game -- whether it is a fitness problem, which I don't believe it is, or maybe it is a ball possession thing. With that being said, we could have had three [goals] in the first half, even the first 20, and we wouldn't have been in that predicament that we were in. We were saying the same thing one week ago, three weeks ago, five weeks ago. We need to get one on their end and prevent one on our end. It is a repeat of last week's quote."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS GOALKEEPER BO OSHONIYI

On Kansas City scoring the first goal:
"We have to look at the fact that we scored the first goal and we were able to sustain our lead [for most of the game]. We were walking a tight rope most of the second half and they broke us down finally. It was just one of those games where we couldn't really get a grip of the ball and keep possession of it. We gave them chances to score and they were able to do it in the end."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION HEAD COACH STEVE NICOL

On his team's chances that went unfinished:
"When the game is going on and you are making chances, you feel as though it is not going to happen, and then a few surprises. This team just keeps going. I think we deserved one [point] for the game. Matt Reis made some saves to stop it from going 2-0. When you lose a goal, which is rare for Reis, if that was the other way around we could have given up faith. For the rest of the 60 minutes we were in control of the game. Reis made a couple saves to keep it 1-0. Capitalizing on the pressure we had and the saves we had we wanted to keep getting balls in the box. We moved Joey [Franchino] inside to try and get the ball wide to Andy [Dorman]. We got some good balls in the box and got some real good chances."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION MIDFIELDER STEVE RALSTON

On scoring in front of family and friends in his hometown:
"It feels nice to score in front of your family and friends but we get one point. It makes a big difference than them getting three [points]; it's a big swing for us. We played well and I think that we deserved a point."

On the flow of the game:
"I thought we passed the ball well and created a lot of chances. We were getting the ball wide and had a lot of crosses in the box. We had a lot of opportunities. The final pass, our finishes were just a little off, a few balls got blocked, there were a few things like that. It was our first game in a 3-5-2 and it went well."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION DEFENDER JOE FRANCHINO

On the game:
"We fought back and got in the game and tied it 1-1. Bo [Oshoniyi] made a good save on [Pat] Noonan and Clint [Dempsey]'s header. We had some good opportunities. We were fortunate to get that goal from Steve [Ralston]. It was a good goal. It was a positive result, but we got the goal, which was good."
