Words like "Beep Test" and "Christmas Tree Runs" might not mean much to you, but to us they are the definition of torture, unless of course your name is Frankie (Hejduk) and you do things like that for fun. Overall, hard work and monotony rule the day, but would we trade it in for anything in the world? Not a chance! Just ask "Old Man" Ezra (Hendrickson), who's been through what, 28 preseasons? (Yeah, I know, that's an exaggeration, but you get my point.) Maybe EZ can get Sigi to buy into Michael Strahan's preseason-absence-equals-championship formula? Nah. Sorry. Bad idea.

Now that I've laid out a rough outline of preseason, next entry I'll make sure to satisfy all answers to the most important questions going on in Crew fans' minds: Has Duncan (Oughton)'s nose gotten any bigger over the winter? Which rookies will hopefully have an impact? Does Guillermo (Barros Schelotto) have his twin brother hidden in his closet and send him out to practice when he needs a session off? Are there any trialists that could compete for a starting spot? Does Danny O'Rourke have his personal hair stylist travel with him? Do we have what it takes to win a championship? Stay tuned....
